Author's Foreword

This book is inspired by Shel Silverstein's The Giving Tree, which has touched me deeply since I was a small child. I have often found myself listening to the quiet music of that book whenever I feel lonely.

This book is my tribute to all the mothers in the world, with all their selfless love and kindness directed to their children. It is also my tribute to you, Mom, and all the hours you spent caring after me. Thank you, Mom.

About the Author- Andrew Young

Andrew Young was 12 years old when this book was written. He is a Middle School student at Pingry, New Jersey. He spent the previous 3 years in Taipei, Taiwan, where he completed lower school at the Taipei American School. He loves to read and loves all sports, especially soccer. His foreword, making this little book a tribute to all the mothers in the world, says it all.
