草本驅蚊噴液

Nature’s Repellent

草本驅蚊噴液

In Taiwan, more than 130 species of mosquitoes live and feed on plant sap and wild fruits. Mosquitoes also bite humans and feed on animal blood, releasing toxic formic acid and producing skin redness, itching, and inflammation. They may also spread diseases such as Dengue fever, Japanese encephalitis, schistosomiasis, malaria, and yellow fever, causing serious health problems for the Asian population. In 2005, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) confirmed that insect repellents were effective for preventing mosquito bites and recommended their use for disease prevention.

Hippocrates, the father of Western medicine, used a wide range of medicinal plants to combat disease outbreaks. In the fourteenth century, Europe was threatened by the plague and people used plant essential oils and spices to prevent being infected from the deadly disease. Essential oils extracted from flowers, leaves, seeds, stems, roots, or even trees, were shown to provide fragrant aromas and effective protection against various infections.

Our herbal mosquito repellent spray contains several essential oils which produce a unique aroma and efficiently prevent mosquito bites. Fresh and not greasy, this precious herbal formula has a long duration of action and as such represents a good companion during outdoor activities.
