Jiaogulan (Gynostemma pentaphyllum) or "Southern Ginseng" grows in the Yunnan mountains. It contains saponins similar if not better than the ginsenosides of ginseng. As such, Jiaogulan is a prime adaptogen, energizing the body, stimulating metabolism, regulating digestion and other body functions, enhancing the ‘Yin’ while supporting the ‘Yang’, and lifting the spirits.  

Its slightly sweet and bitter taste makes it a tea drink of choice before work to increase endurance and concentration, and after work to boost the spirit. 

It contains no stimulant, making it safe to drink before sleeping.
