Jiaogulan Tea

Jiaogulan (Gynostemma pentaphyllum) or "Southern Ginseng" grows in the Yunnan mountains. It contains saponins similar if not better than the ginsenosides of ginseng. As such, Jiaogulan is a prime adaptogen, energizing the body, stimulating metabolism, regulating digestion and other body functions, enhancing the ¡¥Yin¡¦ while supporting the ¡¥Yang¡¦, and lifting the spirits. Its slightly sweet and bitter taste makes it a tea of choice before work to increase endurance and concentration, and after work to relieve fatigue. It contains no caffeine or theophylline, making it safe to drink before sleeping.
